FuelLens is designed to help you find cheap fuel, not to collect your data. Here is exactly what we do and don't do.
Location data
When you use “Near me” or allow location access, your coordinates are sent to our server solely to find nearby fuel stations. We do not store your location on our servers. Your last searched location is saved in your browser's localStorage so the app can load faster next time — this never leaves your device.
Local storage, not cookies
FuelLens uses your browser's localStorage to remember your preferences (fuel type, search radius, saved locations, preferred maps app). We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics. There is nothing to accept or reject — your preferences stay on your device.
We don't sell your data
We do not sell, share, or monetise any user data. FuelLens has no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no data brokers. The app exists to help you save money on fuel, full stop.
Fuel price data
All fuel prices are sourced from the UK Government Fuel Finder scheme, which requires fuel retailers to report their prices. We process and quality-score this data but do not alter the reported prices. Price accuracy depends on how recently each station has reported.
Ratings
If you rate a station, the rating is stored anonymously on our server. We do not link ratings to any personal information or device identifier.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page. There is no email list to notify because we don't collect email addresses.
